Chris Burggraeve

Chris Burggraeve is a Belgian-American, multiple award-winning Marketeer turned entrepreneur, advisor, early-stage investor, board member, adjunct faculty (NYU Stern), author, and speaker.

After a 23-year classic corporate marketing career at global CPG leaders Procter & Gamble (Benelux), The Coca-Cola Company (Europe and Eurasia), and AB InBev (Global CMO 07-12), he founded Vicomte in 2013. This NYC-based marketing advisory and micro-ventures firm works together primarily with non CPG, private equity and family funds.

He is a former board/president of the World Federation of Advertisers (08-13), and currently serves on the board of select private and public consumer and tech companies, including VGAC II, a SPAC sponsored by Richard Branson’s Virgin Group.

His lifelong professional passion has been to bring Wall Street (finance) closer to Main Street (marketing). The goal: reduce investor buyer's remorse, increase marketing excellence, and create marketing miracle$. He published two books on the subject: "Marketing IS Finance IS Business" (2018) and "Marketing IS NOT a Black Hole" (2021). He invented the world's first marketing excellence rating model, called Alpha M, and is now working with academia worldwide to establish Marketing-Finance Exchange Centers of Excellence. Their aim is to fine-tune the Alpha M thought leadership, as well as to develop/reinvent the marketing/finance curriculum of the future.

Always testing new frontiers as the best place to learn/unlearn/relearn, Chris was among the first senior CPG leaders back to help shape the new global cannabis and hemp business. He might also become the first CMO in space, with Virgin Galactic.
